Meet Anna:

Anna Palmer brings a calm, composed approach to family law and a willingness to step directly into difficult situations when her clients need her.

She believes effective advocacy does not require being the loudest person in the room. It requires listening carefully, understanding the facts, preparing thoroughly, and knowing when to take a firm position.

Anna grew up in southeast Missouri and earned her law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she served on the law journal. During law school, she represented children in adoption and custody matters through a child advocacy clinic. That experience gave her an early understanding of how deeply decisions made in family court can affect not just the parties to a case, but their children and their lives for years to come.

Since beginning her practice in St. Louis in 2024, Anna has focused much of her work on divorce, custody, support, and the financial issues that accompany major family transitions.

She has developed a particular interest in the financial side of divorce. Property division, support, debt, income, and household expenses are not simply numbers on a spreadsheet. The decisions made during a divorce can determine what a client’s financial life actually looks like months or years later.

Anna works to understand those details so that her clients can evaluate not only whether a proposed resolution sounds reasonable, but whether it will work in the real world.

That same attention to detail shapes her approach to litigation.

Anna is drawn to the challenge of taking a complicated set of facts, identifying what matters most, and building a clear argument around it. She is willing to dig into documents, ask difficult questions, prepare extensively, and take a firm position when the circumstances require it.

She is also comfortable stepping into conflict rather than avoiding it simply because a situation is uncomfortable.

At the same time, Anna understands that most clients do not spend their lives around lawyers and courtrooms.

Divorce and custody cases can quickly become filled with unfamiliar terminology, financial records, court procedures, deadlines, and competing advice. Anna wants her clients to understand their own cases rather than simply being told what to do.

Other times, it means taking a firm position and being prepared to present the case to a judge.
