Where am I Going to Live after a Divorce?

Many husbands and wives worry about where they will live after a divorce. In most instances, one of the two parties will stay in the marital home during and after a divorce. However, in some cases, neither party will be able to stay in the home without the financial contribution of the other party. If alimony is not a realistic option for your case, then you may be looking at moving. If that is the case, then many parties choose to move in with other family member for a little while to save some money or they move directly to a cheaper home or an apartment.  If none of these are options then in the rarest of circumstances, if the parties get along well enough, then they actually choose to continue living together after the divorce until they can afford to separate. If your divorce has recently been filed, then it is always a good idea to start looking for affordable housing in your desired neighborhood, even if you think you will be allowed to stay in the marital home.
